One of those rarities, a sequel as good as the original. A bit of folklore juggling to get all the characters back in. Evelyn O'Connell and Meela Nais are connected via past lives as Princess Nefertiri and Anck Su Namun. Meela is trying to resurrect High Priest Imhotep with help from Baltus Hafez, Lock-Nah and other nefarious individuals. The O'Connell's son Alex puts on the Bracelet of Annubis, not realizing it cannot be removed. Imhotep needs the bracelet to find the tomb of the Scorpion King. Alex is kidnapped by Meela Nais and Baltus Hafez. Rick O'Connell and Jonathan Carnahan together with Evelyn and Maji, Ardeth Bey set off to rescue Alex. They must stop Imhotep from resurrecting and killing the Scorpion King, and taking over his army. Imhotep also wants to resurrect the spirit of Anck Su Namun into the body of Meela Nais.

For a change the (fullscreen) dvd is excellent quality. I will be posting a lot more from this movie in the future. I've commented elsewhere on my site about ladies firing guns with their eyes closed. In this movie, both Rachel Weisz and Patricia Velasquez kept their eyes open. Full marks from me!
