A romantic comedy concerning a restauranteur, a department store and a magic crab. Sarah Michelle Gellar is Amanda Shelton, the cook at a failing family restaurant in New York. While shopping she is enticed to buy some crabs among which is a magic crab. While chasing the crab(!) she rescues department store executive Tom Bartlett (Sean Patrick Flanery) from the wily crustacean's nippers. Soon after, her cooking improves meteorically, courtesy of the crab.

Tom and his overbearing girlfriend end up at the restaurant by the same twisted fate and the crab's influence causes the girlfriend to go into a plate-smashing frenzy. Tom offers to replace the plates at his department store, where he is opening a high-class restaurant. This sequence (1 of 3 posts) ends where Amanda arrives at the store, demolishing a display.
