If you think the four vidcaps fit together nicely, think again! As the camera (at a fixed height) pans up, the angle changes and there's that nasty thing called perspective. Initially the subject at the top of the camera frame appears bigger than the bottom but as it passes horizontal the subject at the top of the frame appears smaller. Each capture has to be edited to fit the next.

If the pan angle is very large, it is virtually impossible to stitch. Occasionally a similar shot is made with the camera sliding up (or any other direction) and looking horizontally all the time. That makes stitching much easier as there is no change in perspective.
