behold the beast pics

O ur story begins on Planet Tek. The Beast Planet is about to swallow the planet, estimated impact T-30. One of our seven-to-be is Princess Tekla who has a tearful parting with her father. She is to go to the other planets Ice, Fire, Rock and Bone to warn them of their impending doom. She takes off with her companion Voxx just as Planet Tek is absorbed into the Beast Planet. Voxx, "All life on Planet Tek has ceased". The few Tek fighters that accompany her are soon destroyed by Beast Marauders.

Meanwhile, on Planet Ice, men from Planet Rock land the flagship Loadstone on the ice to mine it and take back to Rock for their water supply. Their craft lands. CRPR (Combat Ready Processing Rigs) and Mule (Multi Utility Loading Excavators) Dozers, together with the miners (quarriors) spill out on to the frozen surface. As they start operations, an inexperienced miner is saved from disaster by the second of our seven - Graveheart.

Troops use thermal scans to search for hostiles. Warning blue. Suddenly nannonite fog looms up. Out of the fog come the fighting vehicles of the inhabitants of Planet Ice. Tortoise-like ice mites carrying freeze guns and crab-like spider tanks armed with cannon. Some of the miners are frozen in ice as they stand.

The leader King Cryos appears from the top of his vehicle. The captain of the miners confronts King Cryos. Graveheart steps in to save the day and pleads the case for the miners to take ice back with them. The four planets all steal from each other, it's the way of life. In the distance, Tekla arrives at the planet with Beast Marauders and the fleet in hot pursuit. Tekla's fighter is hit and she crashes near the standoff.

Graveheart rushes over to help, ripping off the cockpit and helping Tekla out. Voxx buzzes around. Tekla has just enough time to give Graveheart a warning the Beast Marauders are attacking. They run for their lives and are thrown to the ground by a blast. The miners and inhabitants of Ice are decimated by the attack. Graveheart, Tekla and Cryos find themselves together and take cover in an ice gully.

The Beast Marauders drop null matter pods that burst into beast drones. The drones advance. Our trio fight them with their weapons but the weapons are not effective against null matter. Tekla directs the others to fire at the containment unit in the centre of the drones. They destroy a few but the advance is relentless. Graveheart rushes off, the others thinking he is a coward.

Graveheart picks up one of the mining tools, a disrupting sonic cannon, normally used to break up the ice during mining. He rushes back to join the pair. He fires at the drones and the beam is devastating. Tekla and Cryos take up similar weapons and the beasts are driven off. As the trio recuperate, one drone appears on the lip of the gully. Tekla sees it as it fires and dives across Graveheart to protect him, taking the full brunt of the beast's weapon. Cryos finishes off the drone.

Graveheart stoops to tend Tekla. She says a few words and goes still. Voxx, "Princess Tekla is currently offline". Graveheart turns and collapses.

Graveheart was injured in the firefight. He wakes to find himself encased in a chamber, thinking he is imprisoned. Cryos tells him he is being healed by nannonites. As the wound heals, Graveheart is released. Cryos introduces his daughter the Lady Zera, the fourth of our seven. They go to see Tekla who is in stasis in a glass healing chamber. Zera tells them her mind will take time to heal. The group realize they have an uphill struggle to save the four worlds. The episode ends with Beast Marauders returning to the Beast Planet.

on the rocks

K ing Cryos and Graveheart arrive at Planet Rock and encounter the formidable Battle Moons. Graveheart has no authority to gain safe passage. He is not a quarrior. The moons start to lock on to the craft. Cryos contacts the planet and gets a frosty refusal. Graveheart introduces himself as Miner, Granite Class. Graveheart says they want to invoke the old Treaty of Four. Safe passage is granted.

They set off for the planet in a Bladewing. They swoop to the surface of the red planet. The welcome committee is armed and unfriendly. Graveheart recognizes one of the troopers. "Jade?" Graveheart is immediately put under arrest. Cryos has diplomatic immunity.

They are taken via cablecar and over a drawbridge to the fortress of King Mantel. Entering the main hall, Mantel is on this rock throne at the top of a long flight of stairs. Jade bows and announces the miner and the Ice King have been brought as demanded. Graveheart bows and starts to speak but is shouted down by Mantel. Graveheart tells Mantel that all the quarriors were slain. Cryos interjects but is also shouted down by Mantel. Mantel disowns Graveheart. Cryos is escorted back to the fighter. Graveheart quietly pleads to Jade and gives her a data crystal to prove his story. He is lead away to jail.

Not so far away, the Beast Planet approaches. Lamprey and Blokk boast to each other, Blokk says his drones will win the battle. Voyd points to Blokk who calls up the drones.

Cryos leaves Planet Rock. Graveheart sees the Bladewing disappear from his cell. As he reminisces about Tekla's last words, Jade appears at the door of the cell. Holding the data crystal she ridicules the story. Meanwhile, as Cryos leaves the planet, the Battle Moons are deactivated. At that very moment, the Beast Armada arrives at the planet. Blokk gives the order "for the carnage to begin". The first drones slip past the passive moons and drop null matter pods close to the fortress. Drones materialize from the pods and the quarriors are forced on the defensive.

The CRPR (Combat Ready Processing Rig) armoured vehicles are quickly anhilated. Part of one is blown into the main gate and prevents it from closing. The drones enter the fortress and mop up the remnants. "Life is good", says Blokk putting his feet up.

As Jade and Graveheart finish their conversation we learn that Graveheart was once in the army but quit. The doors to the Control Core are closed. Jade talks to Captain Feldspar in Control who tells her the drones are made of null matter bound by a genesis matrix. Jade rushes back to Graveheart's cell carrying two sonic cannon. They head off and Graveheart remembers a tunnel they knew of when they were kids that lead to the Control Core. They find the tunnel blocked off - no problem for a sonic cannon.

Back in space, Cryos arrives at Planet Fire. He tries to contact Prince Pyrus but is contacted by the Grand Vizier who is no more friendly that Mantel. Contact is broken.

The Control Core door is breached and the drones blast the troops. As the drones move in, Jade and Graveheart appear at the hole they have blown. The sonic cannon make short work of the drones. While Graveheart holds off the advance, Jade gets the surviving troops out of the Core. Graveheart is blown over the guard rail but manages to hold on above a precipitous drop. A drone shoots out the Battle Moon controls and they are deactivated. Blokk orders the drone armada to attack.

Graveheart finds himself looking into the muzzle of the drone's weapon and braces. A flash, and Graveheart is still there. He looks up to see Jade walking across the hall, cannon smoking. With the control panel gone, Jade manages to get the controls into manual. Graveheart gets into the firing station and sets the sights. He fires into the line astern stream of drone fighters, vapourizing them. Blokk trembles and orders the retreat.

Lord Mantel is still intransigent. He believes their strength carried the day and he will not hear of getting help from the other planets. Mantel concedes that he owes Graveheart but Graveheart feels he is owed nothing. Mantel says that Graveheart must swear allegiance to Rock and only Rock. Graveheart cannot because he knows they must unite all planets. Graveheart is banished on pain of death. Cryos comes to pick up Graveheart and passes on the bad news about Planet Fire. "Not so fast", calls Jade in a commanding tone. Jade is going to go with them. Does she believe in the alliance? "No", she says "but I do believe in you". She is going to watch Graveheart's back with "this ice flea (Cryos)" around. The three walk off into the sun, heading for the fighter and the other planets.

born in fire

P lanet Fire. On a bridge spanning a lava river, Prince Pyrus practices with his fighting staff. The Grand Vizier appears and scolds the prince for playing foolish games. The Grand Vizier is displeased Pyrus has given permission for King Cryos to visit. Pyrus puts the Vizier in his place.

Meanwhile on Planet Ice, King Cryos tells The Lady Zera that she cannot go on the diplomatic mission he is about to undertake. Three porters arrive with her luggage. Custom prevents Cryos from berating Zera in public. Jade tells Cryos to keep her out of the way. The Bladewing with Cryos, Zero, Graveheart and Jade takes off to join the Aurora cruiser in orbit. They head for Planet Fire. Cryos and Zera apply cold environment conditioning. Ominously, a group of Beast Marauders follow at a distance.

The last time Cryos was on Fire (!) was during the Golden Jubilation, the cluster's last chance at peace. Cryos comments that everything went wrong. At the time, the Grand Vizier was "excitable".

As the Bladewing manoeuvres to land, the Vizier is expecting trouble and has to be calmed by Pyrus. As befits his station, Cryos is first out of the Bladewing, followed by Graveheart. The Vizier sees Ice and Rock standing together as treachery and calls the guards. Pyrus intervenes and asks who Graveheart is. After Graveheart's introduction, Cryos explains the absence of Lord Mantel being due to his personality. They are about to head to the palace when Zera swings out of the Bladewing.

In the Throne Room, Graveheart explains the threat from the Beast Planet. Pyrus is confident no threat is posed to Fire. The Vizier suggests if they want their allegiance they must pass a test, the Trial by Fire. They are taken to two great doors. The doors open. For Cryos it's very tough. He lives in the cold. He turns round and reassures Zera. They enter and the doors close. Jade is escorted away so she cannot cause any trouble. The Vizier savours what he thinks will happen to Cryos.

The first obstacle is a lava river and lavafall. Graveheart goes first, clearing the river and landing in a heap on the other side. Cryos takes his turn but jumps short. He manages to cling to the edge of the bank but the heat is too debilitating. His grip fails but as he slips, Graveheart grabs his arm and pulls him to safety. They continue on for a while and take a rest. Cryos is feeling the heat.

Back in the Throne Room, the Vizier leaves Pyrus to his thoughts. Zera bursts in. She is not diplomatic in dealing with the situation and demands her father be released from the sweat hole, now. They argue and Pyrus stomps off. He goes back to the bridge, his father's favourite place, and starts practicing with his staff again. Zera rushes up and clearly has not done with the prince yet. They argue more. Pyrus swings round. His staff causes Zera to lose her balance and she falls off the bridge. Pyrus dives and catches her arm. Their hot and cold skin touching is clearly a discomfort. Pyrus finally uses two hands and hauls Zera back up. Pyrus shows some concern for Zera but she folds her arms and professes her hatred of all things Fire. She demands to know why his father isn't around to sort out the mess. Then the truth dawns on her.

Pyrus spots something unusual. He points. "Beast drones" gasps Zera. A squad of them are heading along the path to the bridge.

Cryos and Graveheart stop briefly while navigating through a series of rocks in lava. After a rest, they head off, followed by a lava creature appearing from the lava pools. Shortly after, a roar sounds from behind. The pair swing round. Graveheart asks what they are. "Lava dogs" replies Cryos. Cryos stumbles but Graveheart picks up a club-shaped piece of rock and sends the lava dogs flying off the rock.

Cryos realizes their only hope is nannonites but he also needs them to survive the heat. He opens his mouth and blows nannonites at the lava dogs, who freeze. Cryos collapses and is picked up by Graveheart. The remaining lava dogs look apprehensively at the frozen ones. The delay is long enough for Graveheart to make a break.

The drones fire at Zera and Pyrus, who run off with explosions all around. The lead drone takes a small group in pursuit. Zera and Pyrus reach the top of a ridge. The drones continue to fire. One blast sends rocks flying and Pyrus with them. Zera kneels to tend Pyrus who is wounded in the chest. Zera blows nannonites on to the wound. Pyrus is disgusted.

The drones draw close. Pyrus is still on the ground. Zera picks up rocks and throws them at the lead drone. After a few throws, one hits the containment unit of the drone and it is vapourised. Pyrus pulls himself up. Zera explains about the containment units and Pyrus vaults into the group of drones, flailing his staff. The two of them defeat the group of drones but even more arrive. They head back to the bridge to find they are trapped. Pyrus has an idea and Zera has no choice but to trust him. They both jump off the bridge. The drones look over the side to see the pair standing on a rock pillar. Pyruse asks forgiveness from his father then severs one of the bridge support cables with his staff. The bridge collapses, sending the drones to a fiery end.

As Zera and Pyrus scramble back to the path, a group of drones start firing from the opposite bank. Fire is returned to the drones as Jade runs up. The drones are quickly despatched. Zera briefly hugs Jade. There is no news of her father.

Graveheart is still being pursued. He jumps a large gap and falls on landing. Cryos tells Graveheart to leave him and go on. Graveheart picks up Cryos and makes a last, and successful dash to the doors at the end of The Trial of Fire. Graveheart prises open the doors with his bare hands allowing Cryos through. He lets the doors go and jumps through, denying the lava dogs their prey.

The Vizier is dumbfounded to see Graveheart and Cryos. He had not planned on them surviving. Now he must give allegiance. "Never" he cries. The guards start forward but Pyrus arrives. Pyrus allows the Vizier to save face and announces they are only too pleased to join the alliance. Zera and her father Cryos embrace. Zera tells of the Beast drones.

Pyrus tells Cryos that if he is anything like his daughter, the beast drones don't stand a chance.

bad to the bone pics

G raveheart, Jade, Pyrus and Cryos arrive at Planet Bone. Cryos had been unable to contact the planet to warn them. They were being tailed by beast drones. Jade brought guns to bear on them. Just as she was about to fire, a garbled transmission came in from the planet. It was Emperor Femur. He declined their help but invited them to join him. They landed on the surface and entered a long tunnel into the planet

When they reached the palace chamber, a spotlight illuminated the snooty Pelvus. He announced, at great length and somewhat overdone, the entrance of Femur. Femur appears backlit on a huge tongue, slides down, flips into the air and lands on to the floor. A firework display breaks out. Cryos is not impressed. Graveheart addresses Femur but is brushed off since Femur does not know him.

Suddenly, Lamprey appears, followed by drones. All are aghast. Pyrus takes a defensive stance. Jade grabs Femur by the chin and scoops him off his feet. Femur claims Lamprey is a guest, just like them. He is considering an alliance with the Beast Planet. Femur puts his arm around Jade and makes a suggestive comment. Jade is not amused. "Your hand...remove it....or lose it!" Femur goes flying but is turned on by Jade's feistiness.

Later, Pelvus is seen sprinkling something on a tray of food (Planet Bone cannolis). Femur arrives and is very suspicious. He is about to force Pelvus to taste it when Pyrus arrives. As he starts to speak, the sound of a brawl comes from the next chamber. They find our Alliance and the beast drones embroiled in a food fight. Femur calls a halt. Jade and Lamprey exchange words.

Past attacks from Rock, Ice and Fire have influemced Femur to consider an alliance with the Beast Planet. Graveheart tries to explain why Bone should not do that. Femur ignores the advice and orders the arrest of them. The group break free (apparently due to Cryos' actions) and run for their lives. They get back to the fighter. Pyrus slips off and heads back to see Femur.

Femur and Lamprey discuss their alliance. The beast drones start unpacking equipment and start to construct a forcefield generator to protect the planet. Lamprey and Blokk give Voyd an update on their conquest of Bone. Lamprey boasts of her success.

Pyrus finds Femur alone. He explains the other planets raided for resources, the Beast Planet destroys for the pleasure of it. If Bone joins the Alliance they can all trade with each other. Lamprey comes upon the pair and orders Pyrus be taken away.

The others find Pyrus missing and hope the Grand Vizier back on Planet Fire does not check on his well-being. Needless to say he checks with Cryos. The Vizier reports a beast armada heading for Bone.

The forcefield is engaged as the beast armada arrives. In pursuit are fighters from Rock and Fire. As they hit the forcefield, they disintegrate. On the surface, the forcefield also causes soldiers near to it to turn to stone and shatter. Femur finds he has been double-crossed. Null matter pods are dropped and the beast invasion begins. Femur finds himself surrounded but jumps down a hole into the palace below.

Some of Bone's soldiers attack the group of drones escorting Pyrus and temporarily free him. Graveheart, now in the Bladewing, realizes they have to destroy the forcefield generator. They get a message from Femur to rescue Pyrus, who now has drones converging on him from both sides. There is a blast through the tunnel wall and the Alliance break through with weapons blazing.

Femur contacts Graveheart and tells him to destroy the generator. He has the defence covered. Femur starts up a holographic fleet. To protect the generator Blokk orders the Beast Marauders to attack the non-existent Bone fighters. As they leave, Graveheart swoops in and drops a bomb on the generator. It is destroyed and the Alliance fleet can now approach the planet. They make short work of the Beast Marauders and the beast armada retreats.

They land on the planet. Femur boasts of how much he did to beat the beast drones. Not to waste the moment, Femur tries to sweet-talk Jade, a futile gesture. The group stand in a circle and put their hands one on top of the other. "Let the Beast beware," says Graveheart.

Back on the Beast Planet, Blokk is making the most of Lamprey's failure in front of Voyd. Lamprey says she was betrayed by weak minds. She recollects one person that may be useful, Tekla.

wolf in the fold

R ulers of the Alliance arrive on Planet Ice. King Cryos, Graveheart and Jade are already there. Prince Pyrus and the Grand Vizier are followed by Emperor Femur and Pelvus. They gather at a huge round table inside Cryos' fortress. As Graveheart brings the meeting to order, Femur is unhappy about his position at the table. He insists on moving to the "right" end of the table. Jade growls that the table is circular. Graveheart continues but is interrupted again by Femur who objects to anyone but him heading the meeting. Graveheart adjourns the meeting for cooling of heads.

During the break Femur visits the nannonite chamber and stasis tube where Tekla's body is being kept. He drools, as he would with any female. The guard tells Femur who she is and how she came to be there.

On the Beast Planet, Lamprey is hatching another scheme, this one to infiltrate the alliance using Tekla's body. Blokk just wants to use brute force. They leave the decision to Voyd - Lamprey gets to implement her scheme.

A small force of beast drones attack Planet Ice. Ice Warriors scramble their Bladewings. Cryos, Graveheart and Jade rush out to join the defence. The Vizier dissuades the enthusiastic Pyrus from risking himself. They spot Femur and Pelvus hiding behind some crates, "planning the next assault".

In the nannonite chamber, the guard is fretting that he cannot join the fight. Lamprey appears and blasts the guard. Voxx announces the intruder's presence and is smashed to the ground by a swipe from Lamprey. Lamprey blasts the cover of the stasis tube, and absorbs herself into Tekla's body. "Tekla" slowly rises.

Out on the ice surface, the defenders beat off the beast attack. Graveheart has a bad feeling. The attack was not very convincing and the enemy defeated too easily. As they re-enter the fortress, "Tekla" makes herself known. Graveheart is amazed at her recovery. Jade, who had continued ahead, shouts for them to come. They race to the nannonite chamber where Jade is kneeling over a scorch on the floor where the guard had been. "Tekla" claims there was a drone present when she awoke and she destroyed it. Graveheart finds Voxx who is badly damaged. "Tekla" does not think Voxx is worth repairing. As the group head back, Jade remains behind.

In the hall, Graveheart presents "Tekla". She recognizes Femur but has to ask who Pyrus is. The Vizier indignantly announces his Prince. Graveheart turns over the meeting to "Tekla". Graveheart explains the purpose is to devise a unified strategy against the Beast Planet. "Tekla" states that in order for her to develop such a strategy, she needs to know everything about each planet's military capability. The rulers are not keen to reveal any such information, and refuse. "Tekla" suggests that the rulers take a few minutes to think about the situation.

Graveheart and "Tekla" leave. As Graveheart stands with his back to "Tekla". "Tekla" draws and aims her weapon. Just at that moment Jade returns. She insists on talking alone with Graveheart. The weapon used on the stasis tube and the guard were the same, a beast weapon. Jade accuses Tekla. Graveheart cannot believe Tekla was the perpetrator.

They return to the hall, where the rulers have agreed to divulge their defences on condition that only "Tekla" knows the information. Something that "Tekla" is only too willing to agree to. When asked about the Battle Moons of Planet Rock, Graveheart states that only Lord Mantel has the information. "Tekla" adjourns the meeting until the information is available.

Once again, "Tekla" draws her weapon behind Graveheart and is thwarted by Jade's arrival on the scene. Cryos announces that the meeting is reconvened. At the meeting, Cryos says he has changed his mind. Femur storms out and heads for his ship. Graveheart sends Jade after him to stop him from leaving at all costs. With Jade gone, "Tekla" takes aim at Graveheart and fires. Graveheart ducks and swings round - he was expecting the shot. He and "Tekla" struggle. Graveheart says her mistake was to mention the Battle Moons, of which the real Tekla had no knowledge. Lamprey is briefly forced out of Tekla's body and exposed. "Tekla" breaks free and runs out.

Jade is unable to persuade Femur to stay. Femur and Pelvus embark. Graveheart rushes up and explains to Jade about Lamprey being in Tekla's body. They spot "Tekla" heading for Femur's ship and fire at her. They can only fire warning shots. They don't want to damage Tekla's body. "Tekla" takes cover under Femur's ship. Femur sees the fire directed at him and draws the wrong conclusion. The ship's engines are fired up. At the last minute "Tekla" jumps in through a closing hatch and the ship returns to Planet Bone. Now Graveheart, Jade and Cryos have to save Femur from himself, much to Jade's distain.

mind war

A board Emperor Femur's ship, Femur exclaims his distrust of "Rockhead" and his posse. Lamprey (occupying Tekla's body) appears and bolsters the distrust. She tells of being approached in secret with a plot to betray Femur. When she refused to go along, she had to seek Femur's protection. Lamprey allows Femur to make his normal lecherous moves. He has more than a passing interest in the "Tin Princess".

Pelvus interrupts, an urgent message from Planet Ice. Femur puts the ship on radio silence. Femur is more interested in some quiet time with the "Machine Queen". A look of déjà vu from Pelvus. As Femur rants, Lamprey and Tekla's minds struggle in Tekla's body. Lamprey has learned Tekla's secrets but now Tekla intends to learn Lamprey's. Lamprey extends her slashing claw for some "fun".

Femur and Lamprey chat while Pelvus prepares another poison assassination of Femur. The fight between Lamprey and Tekla starts to affect "Tekla's" behaviour. Femur thinks it's her love play.

Back on Planet Ice, Graveheart thinks that Femur is in trouble. Jade hopes they will kill each other. Prince Pyrus is for saving Femur. The group set out after Femur in the Aurora cruiser. While they are catching up, King Cryos and Pyrus mend Voxx and add some firepower. Voxx springs to life and nearly blows Cryos' head off. "Complete" says Cryos with a gulp. The ship is hit with green torpedoes from Femur's ship.

Femur revels in his attack. "Tekla", comes from behind and beats Femur. To Femur it's a love play. Tekla starts to extract Lamprey's secrets. Lamprey is enraged and knows she must vanquish Tekla's mind. Tekla is willing for both of them to die. "Tekla's" behaviour gets stranger. Pelvus provides assistance by throwing "Tekla" into Femur. "Tekla" assaults Femur.

The firing from Femur causes Jade to line up weapons to fire. Pyrus persuades Jade not to make a fatal shot. When no more torpedoes appear, Cryos orders Jade to take out their weapons and propulsion. They draw up underneath Femur's ship, insert a probe through the hull and cross over into the loading bay.

Femur orders the bridge sealed. With the tinkle of a bell and an "Okey dokey", Pelvus orders the fleshy security doors sealed. Femur is furious with "Tekla". He ripostes "Tekla's" aggression by levelling his weapons and a hearty "The fat lizard has sung". The four from The Alliance burst in and order Lamprey to surrender. Femur is bemused. "Tekla" seizes the moment and draws a gun to the back of Femur's head. Graveheart orders his group to stand down.

"Tekla's" gun starts to shake as Lamprey and Tekla battle. Tekla manages to force "Tekla's" arm into the air. Jade lets off a quick shot and blows the weapon away. She lines up to finish off "Tekla". "Time to die Beast scum". Graveheart diverts the weapon in the nick of time. He cannot live with destroying Tekla.

Jade leads "Tekla" off. Femur knows he's been suckered again but he's in love. The band gather round "Tekla" on the autodoc. Pyrus is impressed with the poison and anti-poison capabilities of the machine. Femur looks and hints knowingly at Pelvus, who has plotted against him many times. Voxx pronounces Tekla's condition as extreme distress.

Tekla momentarily gains control over "Tekla" and pleads for Graveheart to destroy them both. Graveheart refuses. Lamprey tries to use the death of Tekla's father in the destruction of Planet Tek against her in their mind war. Lamprey accuses Tekla of deserting her father to his doom.

The band are out of options. Graveheart walks away. Jade has a quick solution. She lines up a syringe of poison to kill "Tekla". Cryos is concerned at Graveheart and joins him. Graveheart feels inadequate, he's only a miner. Cryos sets Graveheart straight on his importance which snaps Graveheart out of his gloom.

Graveheart returns to the autodoc just in time to stop Jade. "No, not on my watch" . Graveheart says their strength is in the sum of the parts. They must stand together. Tekla hears the comments. She looks at each member of the band and gathers in strength. Tekla blasts Lamprey out. "Tekla's" body starts to shake. Suddenly bolts of energy shoot from her eyes, then her chest. The band cover their eyes from the light.

Lamprey is fully expelled from Tekla's body and she uses an escape pod to leave the ship. Tekla looks at her comrades and thanks them for their support. Cryos says she can thank Graveheart, who never gave up on her. Graveheart states that their alliance endures.

j'accuse

A bove Planet Fire, a dogfight rages between Beast drones and Bladewings. In the Aurora cruiser, Princess Tekla and King Cryos prepare to scan for Beast drones and contact Prince Pyrus. Pyrus is hopeful the drones are not on Planet Fire. With Pyrus are the Grand Vizier and Graveheart. The Grand Vizier is not at all comfortable with the outworlders. Pyrus reasures him and gives Cryos the go-ahead. The Grand Vizier asks where Jade is. Pyrus says she went for a walk and Graveheart frowns in apprehension.

Jade walks through the city. A shopkeeper flashes the sign above his shop but Jade walks by. On a nearby wall is cast the shadow of Lamprey. Lamprey swishes her claw and Jade whips round, gun at the ready. Nothing in sight. Jade holsters her gun. An obnoxious local bumps into Jade and rants that she does not belong there. He tries to barge past but Jade knocks him to the ground. Jade stands with fists ready but the man runs off in fear. Jade threatens to kill him if she sees him again. The threat is heard by onlookers. Jade walks away unaware her gun is now lying on the ground. Lamprey picks the gun up.

At the palace, the Grand Vizier tries to persuade Pyrus that Planet Fire can defend itself. Pyrus, having seen the Beast Planet at work, knows they need The Alliance. A messenger arrives and gives news to the Grand Vizier. There has been a murder. Everyone is aghast.

Jade walks in and the Grand Vizier points to Jade accusingly. Jade is ordered taken into custody. The guards move forward. Jade quickly disposes of one, grabbing his weapon, and holds the other guard at bay. Graveheart persuades Jade to surrender.

Graveheart protests Jade's innocence to Pyrus. She would only kill in self-defence. The Grand Vizier is convinced Jade is guilty. Pyrus points out that nobody saw the murder. Femur jumps in saying how many times Jade has tried to kill him. No sympathy from anyone. Femur stomps off. Pyrus gives Graveheart until sunset to resolve the crime and offers to assist Graveheart in talking with the locals.

Jade is imprisoned in a small metal cage next to a lavafall. The cage is attached to a boom that can swing into the lava flow. As Jade watches, the guard moves another cage out of the flow, glowing yellow with the heat. Femur waddles up with a briefcase. They exchange niceties. Femur suggests he can get Jade off in her trial. Jade grabs Femur through the bars and pulls him hard against the cage. After some hard stares, Jade lets the toad flop to the ground. Femur asks for Jade's versions of events. Jade relates her simple tale. Femur advises her to lie.

Cryos reports that there is definitely Beast activity on Planet Fire. A squadron of Beast drones fly past towards the planet. Alliance forces beat off the attack.

Graveheart and Pyrus arrive near the crime scene where police have interviewed witnesses. Although the shopkeeoper and a mother saw the confrontation, nobody actually saw the murder. Graveheart and Pyrus move to the crime scene in a nearby alley. Lamprey's shadow moves across a wall as they approach. Graveheart examines a scorch mark on the wall. One of the police hands Pyrus a gun found at the scene. Pyrus finds something strange about the gun and his eyes light (fire?) up. He radios for the Grand Vizier. Graveheart shows the Grand Vizier the gun. The handle is burnt from Lamprey's grip.

Pyrus receives a message from Cryos that drones are on the surface. Too late. Lamprey is facing them with many Beast drones. Lamprey boasts her plan to frame Jade. She fires her weapon. Graveheart manages to pull the Grand Vizier out of the line of fire and then behind a column. The Beast drones open up. Graveheart returns fire. From atop a pile of boxes, Pyrus extends his fighting staff and hurls it at a drone. It strikes the containment unit and the drone disintegrates. Pyrus somersaults to the Grand Vizier, grabs him and they head for cover as energy bolts whisked by. Graveheart battles the drones but finds the gun is low on energy.

Pyrus and the Grand Vizier run into an alley, followed by Graveheart. It's a dead-end. The Grand Vizier blames Graveheart. Graveheart replies that it's their world, not his. Lamprey drools over her impending victory and execution of Jade. "I'm going to enjoy that ... a lot". Beast drones advance. Graveheart's gun is dead. He hurls a barrel at the first drone and disposes of it. As the next drone moves up, Graveheart braces behind a garbage skip and pushes it down the alley. He hits the drone which disintegrates.

The skip is blocked by a pile of crates. Lamprey moves in for the kill. The drone alongside her suddenly explodes. Lamprey turns to see Cryos and Tekla with weapons drawn. Their shots blast either side of Lamprey who beats a swift retreat.

Meanwhile, back at the lavafall, Jane is swinging wildly in the cage trying to break out. The guard is moving the cage into the lava. Jade drops to the floor and looks helplessly at the lava. Just as the cage reaches the flow, Pyrus' thermal skyboat draws up and he yells for the guard to stop. The cage is retracted from the lava. The Grand Vizier announces that Jade is now known to be innocent and is acquitted of all charges.

Later at the Palace, Jade apologizes to the Grand Vizier. Justice did prevail in the end. Graveheart walks up to Jade and rests his hand on her shoulder. He addresses the dangers of the Beast Planet to the Grand Vizier. The Grand Vizier is not moved in his dislike of The Alliance and brushes past them.

Jade says she knew she could count on Graveheart. "With a little help from some friends", pointing to the others. Jade looks at them. Femur is clearly boasting of his actions. "In that case, I'm lucky to be alive". She shrugs.

blood is thicker

P lanet Ice. The Lady Zera's bladewing Borealis arrives in its hangar and is announced. When nobody disembarks, the guards investigate and find the craft empty. They hurry off to inform King Cryos. In their haste they fail to notice four null matter pods on the underside of the wing.

The members of The Alliance sit around the round table of Ice. As usual, Emperor Femur is only concerned with his interests. Jade exchanges words and Femur jumps across the table. Jade grabs Femur. Graveheart breaks up the altercation. The intercom activates and the guards report that Zera is missing. Cryos prepares to leave to find her. He insists the conference continue without him. Graveheart in turn insists on helping Cryos.

Unseen, the null matter pods drop to the hangar floor and the beast drones emerge. Above ground soldiers scan the surroundings and searchers head off in bladewings. The rest search for Zera below ground. Having no success they rendezvous. Another soldier is not so lucky. He spots a drone and hits the palace alarm. He is killed by the drone. In the Command Centre, the alert draws attention to the penetrated sector and the beast drones are detected. Up on the surface Beast Marauders drop null matter pods and the invasion is on.

The search party is joined by Femur and Prince Pyrus. Just at that moment, energy bolts from beast drones whizz past Graveheart, Jade and Princess Tekla. They whip round seeking what little cover there is and return fire. There are only two drones which are quickly despatched. More drones come from the other direction. Pyrus and Femur escape being hit. Femur manages to down one drone as he falls. Graveheart turns and shoots the other. The drone is just disabled. Cryos tries to interrogate it and moves forward to grab it. Tekla takes a quick shot and the drone disintegrates. Graveheart reminds Cryos the null matter drones cannot be touched.

Cryos heads off to look for Zera, accompanied by Jade. Femur thinks up a good reason to stay out of the way by offering to help search the planet. Pyrus goes with Femur. The two pairs head off in bladewings. Cryos gets a call from Blokk. They have Zera and are using her as a hostage at one of their bases. Zera comes on the screen pleading for help, and subtlely brings attention to her locket.

Graveheart and Tekla fight off numerous attacks and reach the Command Centre. They assess the situation and then get a call from Cryos. Cryos realized that the locket Zera showed him was that given to her by her mother. Its hologram can be traced. Cryos uploads the signature to all searchers.

Femur interrupts and it's clear he's staying out of the way. He's not for fighting although Pyrus is. Beast Marauders have other plans and fire on the bladewing. Femur and Pyrus inflict losses but are themselves hit. The bladewing crashes and comes to rest on the brink of a precipice. They evacuate (Femur somewhat undignified) but beast drones have closed in. Pyrus jumps back in the craft and turns the engines on. The exhaust blast destroys the beast drones. Pyrus heads for the palace on foot. Femur reluctantly follows.

Cryos traces the locket signal. Zera has her own plan to escape her cell. She screams out to draw the guard drone in. The beast drone sees the cell is empty and investigates. Nothing. Zera drops down from the ceiling where she was clinging and runs out, closing the cell behind her. The beast drone is trapped. Zera heads off.

Cryos and Jade swoop down and are fired on from a beast drone camp. The bladewing makes quick work of them. The craft zooms into the ice tunnels. Jade asks Cryos to put the craft down. Jade plants limpet grenades near the bladewing. Cryos heads off to find Zera. Zera is traversing a narrow ledge when an icefall cuts off the direction she came from. Just then, beast drones appear ahead. She's trapped and decides to jump into the ravine below. Her fall is minimized by the curved walls and she slides to the bottom. More drones attack and she runs away again.

Zera narrowly misses being shot. Suddenly the two following drones disintegrate. Zera stops and turns. It's her father. They embrace. He gives her a gun and they face opposite directions to beat off the beast drones. They have to retreat into a tunnel, their only escape route. Pursued by many drones they come to a narrow ice bridge. Gingerly they step across. The beast drones catch them up and a volley of energy bolts whizz by. Cryos and Zera run on the narrow path. Lucky for them, Jade arrives at the other side and hits the bridge behind with her sonic cannon. The bridge and drones fall to the icy depths below. Jade says they have but 30 seconds. They run to the bladewing and take off. Beast drones fire from all around. The limpet grenades go off and the beast drones are eliminated. Cryos is pleased to have saved Zera but at what cost to his people?

Graveheart and Tekla have beaten off numerous attacks on the Command Centre. Cryos, Zera and Jade arrive back. "Miss me Graveheart?" asks Zera, clutching his hand. "Of course", says Graveheart embarrassed. "We were all concerned". Femur and Pyrus arrive with their own tale to tell. Cryos walks out with a weight on his shoulders.

King Cryos and Zera stand before the assembled soldiers, flanked by the alliance members. The King is going to abdicate. As King he should have put duty before family. His successor steps forward. Femur is aghast. "What about the power, the glory? I mean, you want a pizza at three in the morning nobody says boo...". The words are lost in the solemn moment.

rock and ruin

G raveheart, King Cryos, Prince Pyrus, Princess Tekla and Jade arrive back at Planet Rock in a bladewing. They are cleared for landing but Graveheart is warned not to set foot on the planet. King Cryos decides not to leave the craft. He is no longer king.

Emperor Femur and Pelvus have also arrived in the Clavicle. Pelvus brings a cannoli for Femur. Femur shouts across to the bladewing. Jade is not amused. The delegation makes its way to Lord Mantel's fortress. Mantel is still uninterested in the Alliance. Femur puts Mantel in a really bad mood.

Pyrus and Tekla explain they have proof of the Beast Planet. Voxx plays a recording of Planet Water being destroyed by the Beast World Claw. Tekla adds that Planet Tek fell soon after. Mantel sees no relevance to Planet Rock. He has absolute faith in his battle moons

Pelvus sees a chance to further his own ends and asks for a break. He takes Tekla to the Control Core. Femur uses his position to intimidate the guards and let them in. Once in, Femur causes a distraction while Voxx connects to the computer and uploads the battle moon codes. They are thrown out. Femur persuades Tekla to join him on his ship. They will inform the others once they are off the planet. When Mantel hears of the departure, he's sure it's treachery. Pyrus defuses the situation.

Pelvus is nervous they will all be killed, or more importantly, himself. Tekla orders Voxx to transmit the security codes. They board a battle moon. Voxx transfers control of all moons to their location. Tekla is unsure about what they are doing. Femur explains he's showing the loopholes in Planet Rock's security. Having got control, they return to the Clavicle. As Tekla turns her back to Femur, he shocks her into unconsciousness with a stun gun. Voxx dodges fire from Pelvus and retreats. Femur throws Tekla into an escape pod. Voxx fires and hits Pelvus on his rear. Voxx charges Femur who sidesteps and traps Voxx in the escape pod. Femur fires the pod into space.

The alarm goes up as the battle moons move away. Mantel's suspicions are confirmed. Cryos knows they have no choice but to leave without the others. They must stop Femur. As the bladewing takes off, they are fired on by quarriors. Once aboard the Aurora, Graveheart picks up the escape pod with Tekla and Voxx. Tekla is glum. She feels so stupid having been conned by Femur. Cryos spots the Beast Armada approaching. Blokk sees his opportunity as the battle moons shift. Tachyon Marauders are ordered to attack. They sweep down to Rock.

Graveheart knows he has to regain control of the moons. He grabs his armour. The Aurora dives towards Femur's ship and a spider tank carrying Graveheart and Tekla is released. Compacted to a ball, it hits the surface. It rolls a considerable distance before stopping but is within sight of the Clavicle. Tekla and Graveheart survive the ride. The legs and armaments of the tank are deployed. The tank immediately comes under fire from surface defence cannons that emerge from cupolas. They exchange fire with the defences, blowing two to pieces but are badly damaged by another. Some legs are broken and the spider tank topples. They have to evacuate. Graveheart gets out first and pulls up Tekla. He throws Tekla clear just as they are hit again. Both go flying through the air to the ground. Graveheart picks up the thick turret hatch cover and orders Tekla behind him. Using it as a shield they run for the Clavicle.

Mantel's fortress shakes. He orders Feldspar to lead the defence. Feldspar runs off. Mantel refuses to let Jade leave. Pyrus puts Jade under his royal protection. Mantel reluctantly lets them go.

The general alarm is sounded. Quarriors run to the defences. Arrowhead fighters are moved out of their hangars. The fighters takes off. Jade and Pyrus find an unused Arrowhead and embark. Jade pilots the craft up to the waiting squadron. Feldspar sees Jade and is not pleased, but they need all hands. He orders her into line. The Beast Marauders attack and the sky is suddenly full of dogfights. The Beast Marauders get the upper hand. When few Arrowheads are left, Blokk orders the remaining Marauders and Grimm Armada forward.

Femur's feeling good about his exploits and sits on top of the control console. Pyrus makes a plea to Femur. His transmission is cut off. Femur goes to move the moons but Pelvus butts in. Pelvus convinces Femur they must look after themselves. There's a distant banging - Graveheart busts his way in. He grabs Femur who gives him the 'old buddy' routine. Graveheart throws Femur down. Voxx fires at Pelvus and pins the two in a corner. Graveheart and Tekla start repositioning the moon.

Graveheart seats himself in the firing control. He lines up the armada below and fires the moon. The beam lays a swath through the armada, right down to the planet surface. Blokk and a few fighters manage to retreat. "I'll be back!"

The quarriors cheer the returning fighters. Jade informs Graveheart that Rock Control Core has regained control of all the battle moons.

Back in Mantel's main hall, Mantel wants to grind the absent Femur to dust. Pyrus explains Femur thought his presence would not be welcome. Tekla pleads their case again. Mantel is unmoved and puts some blame on Jade. He sends them packing. The Alliance reunites on the Aurora. The future is bleak.

against all odds

A squadron of bladewings is ambushed by Beast Marauders. Prince Pyrus and the Lady Zera are in one of the bladewings. A dogfight ensues in which both sides suffer losses. Pyrus' bladewing takes a hit. Zera is unimpressed with his piloting skills. Pyrus is not pleased with the criticism. He got "volunteered" to take Zera home.

As they approach Planet Ice, a Beast Marauder swings in from behind and hits the bladewing with several shots. The blast throws Pyrus to the back of the cabin. Zera takes over the controls and manages to hit the Beast Marauder. Unfortunately the last two shots from the Marauder cripple the bladewing and it spins out of control to the nearest planet, Ramora. They make a forced landing, stopping just before a deep chasm.

Other Beast Marauders are attacking the aurora cruiser. The Marauders are destroyed but the cruiser suffers damage. They head for Planet Ice.

Back on Ramora, Pyrus finds the lift thrusters are not working and prepares to go outside to fix them. Zera suggests they wait to be rescued. Pyrus points out that their location is unknown to others. He is aware they are on the dead world Ramora. Pyrus dismisses Zera's desire to be a warrior with a curt "Zera Warrior Princess".

They disembark. The cold planet is not to Pyrus' liking but suits Zera fine. There's not enough oxygen either for Pyrus' flame. They are unaware they are being watched by Blokk on a surveillance screen. The damaged thruster panel bursts open and is on fire. Zera blows out ice crystals to extinguish the flames. Some wires need to be replaced and Zera's scanner shows metal deposits nearby. Zera suggests Pyrus stay in the craft while she finds the metal. Suddenly beast drones appear, firing at them. The two run back into the bladewing. Zera is panicky but Pyrus cooly(!) gets the rockets running and swings the craft round. Several beast drones disintegrate as the front of the craft hits them. Pyrus manouevres the craft so it falls backwards into the chasm. After freefalling, Pyrus gets it under control and lands in the bottom. Zera suggests that the next time Pyrus is volunteered, he should refuse.

On the aurora cruiser, Jade gets the comm back on line and ex-king Cryos contacts Planet Ice. He discovers that Zera and Pyrus did not arrive. They chart a backtracking course. Graveheart picks up the bladewing's fuel residue trail, heading for sector B7. Jade announces more bad news. The Vizier has heard of Pyrus' plight and threatens to pull Fire out of the Alliance. Following the trail leads them to Ramora.

Pyrus and Zera trudge across the planet. For Pyrus it's a struggle but he's there to protect Zera. Zera asserts her independence. They hear some mechanical whirring on the other side of some boulders. They are aghast to see Beast Marauders taking off from an underground facility. As the fighter elevator sinks down, the pair jump on to it. They are taken down into a vast underground complex. Pyrus feels much better for the heat and oxygen.

Zera drops off some of her equipment by some stairs and they start to explore. This is clearly an important Beast base and the Alliance needs to be told of it. They hear drones approaching from all directions and hide behind some panels. They are undiscovered. Zera places a device inside one of the panels. The two start arguing about which direction to take and part company. Zera plants a number of small devices as she goes. All the while, Blokk is monitoring them. He sends more drones out.

Pyrus' luck runs out and he is face to face with a drone. He braces himself but it is the beast drone that vapourizes. Zera saves the day and holsters her sidearm western-style. They run off but find they are hemmed in by drones. The only escape is up. They shinny up a control panel then up a ladder. Some of the drones follow, the rest fire their weapons.

When they reach the top of the ladder, Zera blows ice on to it. With a sharp kick the cold ladder shatters and the drones fall back to the floor. Pyrus destroys a drone with his staff, matching Zera's feat. They get into a pointless argument. A drone sneaks up while they are distracted. They have to run for their lives. They tightrope walk across a cable, followed by the drone. Zera and Pyrus dismount the cable. Zera shoots and severs the cable. The drone falls. They jump to the ground, right into the arms of Blokk and his drones. "Welcome, to our humble campment".

Blokk orders them to be taken to a cell. "I don't think so" says Zera and tosses a smoke bomb. The pair escape in the smokescreen. Pyrus is impressed with Zera's ingenuity. Once again they find themselves surrounded. Pyrus asks if Zera has any more tricks. Zera takes out a remote control and sets off the the smoke bombs she had planted earlier. The explosions distract the drones.

They find themselves back at the Beast Marauder elevator. Their way out. Zera climbs on to one rising platform. Pyrus has to jump for it and clings to the edge. They come under fire. Zera returns fire while Pyrus scrambles up. Zera hits an elevator support and the platforms below pancake on each other. Blokk is thrown off on to the floor.

Pyrus and Zera make it back to the bladewing. Zera repairs the wiring. They embark and take off just as beast drones arrive. Their troubles are not over. Beast Marauders swarm them. When all looks lost, the aurora cruiser swoops down from above and dispatches the beast fighers. Pyrus and Zera mutually confirm that they are not friends (Fire and Ice?) but inside they know they are.

On the cruiser, Cryos embraces his daughter. He tells Zera that Jade has agreed to train her as a warrior. Pyrus announces their findings on Ramora.

uneasy hangs the head

G raveheart sits alone with his thoughts in the fortress of Planet Ice. He's a miner like his father and grandfather before him. When the Resource Wars got out of hand he had answered the call. For centuries the four worlds had battled each other for resources. As a quarrior Graveheart had raided Ice, Bone and Fire. With time, Graveheart lost faith, friends and comrades. Celebrated as a hero, but at heart, he was just a miner.

Prince Pyrus strolls with Emperor Femur, telling and acting out tales of his exploits on Ramora. Rolling his eyes, Femur notes that other reports don't quite match Pyrus' exuberance. Femur starts to boast a tall tale of his own when Graveheart walks past without a sideways glance.

Princess Tekla sits in a holodome searching for something she saw when she shared Lamprey's mind. Graveheart interrupts with an apology. Tekla senses all is not well. Graveheart expresses doubts about his leadership in the Alliance. From the start it was Tekla's mission against the Beast Planet, not his.

Tekla remembers the worst day of her life when Planet Tek was consumed by the world claw. For Graveheart and the quarriors on Planet Ice, it was a day of deliverance. They were surrounded by King Cryos' troops. The distraction provided by Tekla's arrival pursued by beast drones saved the day. Graveheart rescued Tekla from her downed vari-tek. In return, Tekla saved Graveheart from a beast drone. She was hit. As she faded she had made Graveheart promise to warn the other planets and continue the fight. Tekla went offline.

Graveheart no longer feels worthy to lead the Alliance. Tekla is unable to convince Graveheart of his vital role. Graveheart confirms he is immediately turning over leadership to Tekla. Cryos, having overheard, steps up aghast. Cryos is also unable to restore Graveheart's confidence by relating all he had sacrificed on Planet Rock. Graveheart had suffered Lord Mantel's wrath for not swearing to serve Rock and only Rock.

In response, Graveheart relates all that Cryos had suffered in the Trial by Fire on Planet Fire. Cryos turns the tables with the fact Graveheart risked his life to save him. Just to confuse the issue, Femur arrives with Pyrus. Femur is not sad to hear Graveheart's decision, after all that puts him in charge? Cryos quickly refutes such insanity. Pyrus supports Cryos, to Femur's annoyance.

Pyrus relates Femur's treachery in stealing Rock's Battle Moons and almost allowing the Beast armada victory over Planet Rock. It was Graveheart and Tekla in a spider tank who had fought their way to Femur's Clavicle and then to the Battle Moons. From there Graveheart destroyed the armada. Graveheart insists that he will still be there for them even if he isn't their leader. He walks off.

Graveheart sits alone, justifying his decision. Jade bursts into the room, "You are one monumental moron." Graveheart stands with his back to Jade. Jade vents her wrath over Graveheart's "I'm just a miner." Jade too reflects on the battles for Planets Rock, Bone and Fire where Graveheart excelled. Then Jade brings up a sorry episode that Graveheart feels responsible for.

While raiding Planet Fire, Graveheart promised that his young brother Mica would come to no harm. Fighters attacked them on the ground and they were bowled over by the blast. Mica slipped over a precipice but managed to grab hold a short distance down. Graveheart dashed to the edge but could reach Mica. Mica's grip finally gave out and he tumbled down into a river of lava. Jade pulled Graveheart back from the edge. Graveheart got to his feet and fired at the fighters, possessed with rage.

Jade dismisses Graveheart's claim of responsibility. It was war and Mica was a quarrior. Graveheart feels if he cannot save one kid, how can he save the Alliance? "You will because you must" responds Jade. "You are a leader of men with a warrior's heart." Jade picks up Graveheart's helmet with a penetrating glare and demands he do what he was born to do.

Graveheart stands with the other leaders before the assembled troops of Planet Ice. He thinks to himself, "I never really much thought of myself as a fighting man, but apparently, I was wrong."

ragnarok pt 1

T he fleets of Fire, Ice and Bone converge on Ragnarok. Beast Marauders resist the attack but are decimated. Bone fighters swoop low over the planet dropping bombs. Within the planet, Voyd, Blokk and Lamprey stand together. Blokk is concerned that the Alliance are attacking as one. They need more time. Lamprey hastily points out Blokk created the situation. Blokk has a severe attack of the jitters, to Lamprey's annoyance.

Emperor Femur broadcasts the success of "his" idea against the Beast Planet. King Cryos responds sarcastically. Graveheart intervenes as Pelvus tries to inflame the situation. Prince Pyrus joins in their apparent victory. More fuel for Femur's boasting. Graveheart agrees tongue-in-cheek. Cryos closes his eyes. When Femur claims Graveheart did little, Cryos reminds the group of what Graveheart did do. He reminisces back to Planet Ice.

Graveheart and Cryos stand together before the three armies. Jade and Tekla are location unknown. The leaders of the armies state their readiness. Graveheart talks to the gathering about the significance of what they are about to do. Different but united in their common goal for survival. "We band of brothers." The throng cheers in support. Even Pelvus manages polite applause.

Graveheart announces that they must first correct a mistake. The new king of Ice steps forward and says that Cryos must lead them the rest of the way. The throne is once again Cryos'. Cryos modestly accepts as the Lady Zera runs up. Cryos thrusts his rifle into the air with a tear rolling down his cheek.

Back to the present, Beast Marauders continue to resist. Beneath the planet surface, Blokk is nearly ready to counterattack.

Femur looks down at the melee from the Clavicle. Pelvus, who is squashed beneath Femur's weight has to go along with the endless stream of boasts. Pelvus manages to stand, sending Femur flying with prolific apologies of course.

Although the battle seems over, both Cryos and Graveheart are concerned. Femur is sure he has won the fight and gloats again. He refuses to believe victory is premature.

Far away on Planet Ice, Princess Tekla and Voxx are underground, following up on more information Tekla inherited when in Lamprey's mind. Unfortunately neither really know what they are looking for.

Blokk waits until the Alliance are close enough and releases vast squadrons of Beast Marauders from the planet. Graveheart orders an immediate withdrawal. Femur is flabbergasted. Pelvus trembles with fear. The Clavicle takes a barrage of direct hits. Femur and Pelvus are thrown about. Femur contacts the Aurora cruiser for help. None of this is his fault.

Blokk starts up the planet generators which whirr and hum to life. The Beast Planet within Ragnarok is activated. Blokk presses the big button. The planet starts to disintegrate in a ball of fire and rock. Many of the Alliance fighters are lost in the expanding debris field. As the outer planet shell clears, the Beast Planet is revealed. Cannon on the planet shoot immense energy balls at the Alliance ships.

Femur decides to run for it. The Bone fleet turns for Planet Bone just as an energy ball is shot at them. Boggle-eyed and shaking, Femur clings to Pelvus. Bone fighters are destroyed and Clavicle is put into a spin.

Graveheart and Cryos realize that Femur is running for it. Pyrus tries to make excuses for Femur's action. Femur ignores all hails. Cryos hits the nail on the head when he suggests Femur is trying to make a better deal. Sure enough, Femur is calling up Lamprey. All he gets is static and then a close-up view of the energy cannon pointed straight at them. He is running as Blokk had hoped.

Blokk switches aim to the Aurora cruiser. Cryos detects they have been targeted and they head away at maximum speed. The Ice fleet suffers the same as Bone had. The cruiser comes to a standstill. They see the Beast Planet charging up for another shot. Their shields are down. Blokk laughs.

ragnarok pt 2

T he Beast stands revealed. The battle between the Beast and the Alliance rages on. Aboard the Aurora, King Cryos informs Graveheart of their critical situation. The Aurora's shields are failing as they are fired on. The cruiser is damaged and in need of repair. Cryos has identified a weakness in Ramora but they are unable to exploit it. They hear briefly from Prince Pyrus but lose touch.

Pyrus is in the thick of the dogfights. The Grand Vizier contacts Pyrus and urges him to leave the fight because the Alliance is finished. Pyrus dismisses the Vizier's pessimism and terminates the conversation. Shortly after, Graveheart manages to contact Pyrus again, telling him of the weakness in Ramora. Pyrus swings his fighter towards Ramora into intense cannon fire and followed by Beast Marauders.

Graveheart thinks Pyrus too hot-headed. Graveheart and Cryos agree that they really need Jade but there is no word of her. They have not heard from Princess Tekla either, who is on Planet Ice.

Beneath the surface of Planet Ice, Tekla and Voxx search. Unfortunately they do not know what they are looking for. Tekla had seen some random images in Lamprey's mind.

On Ramora, Blokk boasts of what his troops will do. Even Lamprey agrees with Blokk that victory will be theirs. Blokk announces he will unleash the full power of Ramora and "destroy them all". He grants them a swift death.

Pyrus sweeps across Ramora, weaving to avoid being hit. He downs two oncoming fighters but is hit. The communicator on the Aurora goes to static. Graveheart rushes to Cryos' personal Bladewing and sweeps down to Ramora. As Pyrus scoots along an avenue between buildings, Graveheart pulls alongside. Graveheart takes the lead and Pyrus follows. He orders Cryos to bring in their fleet. The Fire and Ice fleets stand ready. Fighters peel off and head to Ramora.

The attackers fly low to the surface to avoid the cannon fire. Blokk prepares his final move but as he gives the order to fire, the cannons are blown to pieces. "What just happened" blurts Graveheart. "I did" says Jade. The Battle Moons of Rock arrive on the scene. Jade will not say how she got Lord Mantel to agree to release the moons. The moons open fire and Ramora starts to fall apart.

Blokk is frustrated by the incompetence of his fighters. He gives Lamprey the opportunity to take over but she says it's too late. Blokk has made too many mistakes. Blokk counters that Lamprey had said Rock would not join the Alliance. They put aside their differences but Ramora is lost. Voyd dematerializes.

The Battle Moons fire in unison. Ramora is rocked by the energy blasts. As Ramora breaks apart, the Alliance fleet withdraws. Ramora explodes and disappears. It seems the Alliance has won.

On Planet Ice, Voxx notes a solar anomaly in progress. Tekla is alarmed. She is not prepared for what may come. From the Aurora, Cryos notices changes in the sun. It's the Beast Planet emerging from the fireball. The Beast fires and destroys a Battle Moon. "It look like the real war has just begun".
